Just to let everyone know, the Konteka has gas and a small convenience store. Has lots of stuff there and if they aint got it let em know and they will get it! Just a heads up cuz the Mobile in Bergland says they are the last chance for gas and they are not! Always good food and good times at the Konteka! Thanks again gang!

The Konteka is a great stop along the way...our crew of 5 stopped last year and will definetly be back again this year around the MLK weekend in mid Jan. Can't wait! The only thing they need is cam!!! But, I guess the posts from Ranlam will do for now.

I had never been to Konteka until last year, great place, good food and very friendly.

SnowTech has an article about rural gas staions going under, they mention Konteka having gas. Anyone know if they will be having regular or premium fuel?

The Mobile must have new owners

The last time I stopped for gas at the mobil I needed a quart of oil. They stung me for $14 for a freakin quart of Polaris VES oil. I usually buy it in the gallon and never paid attention to the cost. I was so mad at myself for forgetting to bring some I stopped at the Polaris dealer in Burgland to get another one and sanity check the price. The dealer was charging $7. I've never stopped at the Mobile again.

It is called a convenience store for a reason.....you pay for the convenience. The gas station probably pays $7.00 at the dealer as well and has to make money to stay in business. I know it sucks....but what can you do? When you need it, you need it.

I rode out of White Pine for the first time last weekend. We got gas and ate at the Konteka. The food was great as was the service. If I get back to White Pine I would not hesitate to go back!

Datdude, you just liked the Konteka cuz the bartender kept bringing you beers without you askin'!!!!

That is EXCELLENT service in my book. For the record, we were DONE riding for the day while enjoying some cold Coors Lights!

Dude - Doubling the price of a quart of oil is not convenience, it's highway robbery. If he bought it from the Polaris dealer, he's kicking me when I'm down. If he bought it wholesale I was raped.
