Who Did The Most Or Least For 2014 Snowmobile Line Ups?

Not calling anybody here a geezer. I think geezerism is just a state of mind anyway. But it is kind of funny how our riding conversations have turned from T&A and tune pipes to who just got a new knee or hip replacement and whether or not Viagra is better than Cialis . Generally speaking it is usually 10 - 15 degrees colder here than it is for you guys in Wisc and Mich. Wind protection is a very important topic here and has been since they put the little blue windshields on the 76 TX's. Personally I do not mind rider forward and stand up riding in some circumstances. I believe it saves on the back and knees and helps with control. But there are those folks that still like to ride the way they used to many years ago. For those folks current options are limited.

My wife has been that way grub. I've been trying to get her to get a new sled for 5+ years but she has resisted because she loves the sit down position of her 2002 Polaris! I rode it some this year and didn't mind it at all, but I do like the newer machines much better. I do miss the old M-10's that her sled has. Loved them and had them for years. She feels like the new sleds are tippy, but we are heading to the Sneak Peak next weekend to pick out her new sled, probably a 600 Indy LE.

I wouldn't push the issue with her. Buy yourself a new Pro RMK and let her enjoy her sled. My wife opted out on the new sleds, she got out of it all together when I sold her Edge two up and put her on a 600 Renegade. To tall and knees hurt was what her response was to that.

I realize the EPA has had a hand in things and things have had to change to a certain extent. However I wonder what the age demographic is for new sled buyers is? I can't imagine that younger folks have the ching to spring for new stuff. Priorities have changed for that bunch. I would certainly think that if throwback sled was newly introduced that featured a big sofa-type seat and a picture window windshield and a big hand that would push you back to a sitting position if you even tried to stand up they would sell a bunch. The could call it the PreGeezerEZRider or something like that. Also a speedometer that registered about 40 miles an hour higher so you could still feel like you are going fast.

The younger crowd has student loans, car payments, rent and cell phone bills to deal with and a video game addiction to deal with. Snowmobiling is not even on their radar. Unless it is a part of the family history and then the kids still can't afford anything newer to ride. The "PreGeezerEZ Rider" is all ready out, the name has been shortened to "Yamaha". By Golly polarisrider you are right! All this time it has been there and nobody noticed!! If they changed the name of it to PreGeezerEZRider they would probably sell a lot more of them.

No offense taken. I agree it's more a state of mind than anything else. I'm not into joint replacements, Viagra or Cialis yet, but I'm still a proud geezer.
