I knew i could be talked out of a deck easy enough. now the next consideration is building a redneck enclosure on my skid loader trailer or a 7x12 utility type trailer lol . SRT20, yes my Legend is 6' 6" what are you valuing your clam shell at? I had one previously and it served me well, but once again they are very single use.

I sent you a PM

If anyone thinks I am going to pay the 3.2% Property Tax on a large Garage to store a 29' enclosed Trailer they are wrong. There is no Property Tax on the Trailer sitting in the Yard.

I can buy a new Trailer after trade every 6 Years on the Money I save on Property Tax. 30k Garage = $960 property tax per year in this tax **** where I live.

I don't think anyone told you to build a garage
we just gave you reasons as to why someone would store a trailer indoors,a s you said you didn;t know why?

lots of pro's to storing indoors IF you have the building to do so!

also, don't forget that a garage on a site adds value to the property, so its not all a negative, and then the deprecation on sleds and trailers and keep upgrading adds up? plus the added steps and work!
small differences here
but two sides to everything, pending how you look at it!

We have a four place enclosed aluminum trailer and yes it is a pain to store but it seems like it gets used 4-5 times during the year for moving people and such. Best thing about the trailer is that when we travel up for trips we put the sleds and all our gear in the trailer so the cab of the truck is much more comfy and we have the ability to toss a sled in the back of the truck if needed. We usually load the trailer with our gear a couple nights in advance so its just a hook up and go on the day we leave.
