Whos is Melanie? I think Janis Joplin sang that. I love that voice. Great bluesy sound.

hey guys,
they have technology that can take 'out of key singers' (i.e. no talent people who simply can't sing very well like britanny spears, TS, etc..) and 'auto correct' their voices in the studio. it's really pretty disgusting...
here is an awesome documentary called "before the music dies". if the opening seen doesn't 'make you smile'....you're way too young i guess. look i am not that old (40). but they show you in this film how they take a pretty face (that cannot sing) and turn her into a pop star. http://www.hulu.com/watch/62945/before-the-music-dies
i am a musician, have been pounding the pavement playin my *** off for 20 yrs. payin dues. we have 3 guys in the band that ALL sing well! here is my bands new video: we are on CMT! yes...country music tv's website. if the video gets enough 'views', we move up the food chain onto real (cmt) TV!

Janis Joplin would have REALLY butchered that tune.

for 30 years. Headed back down to Nashville in 3 weeks! Cool video my friend,....
I will go to CMT and Vote for it (request it) and encourage everyone else to do so,...
the MORE exposure you get, the quicker you will be "noticed".
I'll be doing some demo's down at Beaird Music, and playing the usual writers night gigs,...
2 of my co-writing friends (going as "Steel Magnolia") were #18 on CMT last week and #15 on the Billboards top 20 also,... believe me,.... it's a tough (political) road to travel.
I gave up the "performing" dream years back,... and will stick with the writing/perfoming end of it. Good luck on your continued Journey!
As far as BAD SINGERS: You would be amazed at what technology does in the studios. More than a good handful can NOT perform live well at all. What a shame.
But I guess if they LOOK good,... that's all that matters.

nice video, those were some good vocals and nice guitar work, the fiddle player could be in the vid a tad more
yamahauler - we have been to the twin cities.....nothing on the schedule as of yet to come back. but that could change. our schedule will start to really fill up over the next 2 months. keep a look out!
