when you look at trail reports and conditions there is always a real lack of Keewenaw trail reports Watersmeet area and near the Wisconsin border on either side yes but Keewenaw area very little reporting.

here's a report for ya..Saturday jan 8th we left Greenland and headed towards Rouseau then to Sidnaw..ALL Excellent Trail, then down the grade west (8) and hung a left to Iron river.1 short section was lil rough for about a mile. Got to Iron River for gas and turned around and headed west on trail 2 for a stop at the wooden nickel pub for some great burgers! if you get thru there stop in..man they have good burgers.. kept heading west and took the trail back to kenton then to bruce crossing.the grade (8) was thing in a few spots where the winds blew the snow off.stopped in bruce for gas.headed west on the grade (8) and made a right onto trail 3 back towards rockland/mass city..all perfect trail thru here..at the mass city rockland intersection we went towards Greenland (13) to pats yamaha..more great trail! from there we went thru Greenland back to the bill nichols trail (3) up to Omers in twin lakes for more food.trail 3 in great shape as well.after Omers back to Greenland down trail 3...groomer was out so ya still perfect.210 miles for the day..sunday went trail 13 from greenland behind pat's yamaha up to twin lakes..fresh groom, packed hard as a rock, snowin n blowin like a bi--h... sidewinder steering froze tight on me that pissed me off er i mean upset me.
overall great trails guys...git up there and ride!

I'd agree with Warner about the Grade from Bergland to Kenten and then add in the heavily used Ski Hill in Ironwood and the roller coaster access trail from Bents as avoidable areas. The best was Phelps north to Watersmeet as it was a treat that I've not seen in 10 years.
MLK weekend will be tough on them though.
