How about taping the throttles wipe open and they can only control their speed with the brake?

Do we let them use the starter rope or should they have to start the sled with the clutch and the old emergency starter ropes you use to get with a sled (I know they came standard on a Polaris. What does that say?)?

You can do it sometime during John's next Ride-In. I'll go to the Ride-In just to see the race.

I love the starter rope idea! The 4 stroke would never get off the line. No starter rope on a 4s and good luck pulling it over with a clutch rope.

That's what the 10 minute head start is for you wrap about a 1000 feet of rope around the 4s clutch then tie it to the 2s and then you that off and maybe all the rope and a head start can get the4s to start.

Ahh, my mistake. I was thinking of our own sleds, but when I read back several posts someone was talking about the 485 and 488. Not done intentionally.
I do think we could shut the 13 loop down for this event on a weekday. I would be willing to ride to 1/2 point just to make sure no one in that area & call in to starting point. Then shut down both ends & let her rip... lol.. My money is on Lenny....don't know about 10 minutes but he will be fastest time thru the loop on 4s vs 2s any cc. Knowing every qwirk in a trail is huge advantage & I would not be surprised that lenny has already timed himself thru 13 loop & compared times with other riders.

Gawd I love this sport where an otherwise bright and successful grown man will plunk down $12k + on a new machine and then have the chance some kid on a trailing arm 600 will lose him in the 1st 2 miles a twisties....LOL

The bet isn't who is quickest, it's whether he could beat me by 10 minutes. It will help that he grooms and rides that trail but not 10 minutes. I've ridden that trail once or twice myself as lead dog. You want the same bet whitedust?
Sure I'm in for a good time but want to stay neutral or can't help. To me it is about grins & giggles let the racers bet & set rules..... just do this thing safely & I'll help do what I can.
AND to make this about safety, both guys will wear helmet cams, and video the whole run. The first guy who crosses the center line on the trail, is automatically disqualified, and loses the bet. It doesn't matter if its within the first 100 feet, or the last 100 feet, you cross the center line, you are OUT!

until Marky gets his new Axel Rose commemorative sled we have no race because I said I will beat him on the new beaver tail whip sled, not his current, I suppose I'll race him on that sled also but I'd have to give you 15 mins
