I know this isnt snowmobile related but does definitely fall under the vintage heading and I will add really cool vintage for those of you who are into old stuff. O have quite a collection of old chainsaws, a few hit and miss engines, few maytag engines and a few vintage briggs and a REO engine. I am always curious to see what or if there is anything out there that I havent seen and found it. It is a Willys Knight 4 stroke engine, has no valves, no cams, no push rods, has multiple moving cylinder sleeves and one piston. I apologize I do not know how to post links or videos but if any of you are interested google it, its pretty neat

Willys-Knight sleeve valve demonstrator model, an ...
The Willys Knight sleeve valve engine, patented by Charles Yale Knight, replaces traditional poppet valves with sliding, cylindrical sleeves inside the engine cylinder to control the intake and exhaust ports. This design made the engine quieter and more reliable than early poppet valve engines by eliminating noisy valve clatter and avoiding valve grinding. While innovative, the design was eventually replaced by improved poppet valve technology and fell out of favor due to issues with oil consumption and potential for sleeves to seize.
