...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH
LATE TUESDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...Blizzard conditions possible. Travel could be very
difficult to impossible. Uprooted trees and power outages will
be possible as well. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches
are possible. Large waves of 15 to 20 feet are possible and may
cause a combination of beach erosion, lakeshore flooding, and
damage to lakeshore property along the west side of the Keweenaw
Peninsula.
* WHERE...Keweenaw and Northern Houghton Counties.
* WHEN...From late Monday night through late Tuesday night.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 50 to 60 mph could
cause whiteout conditions due to blowing snow. Significant
drifting of the snow is also possible.
