I am updating to a smartphone later this month. Here in Mn there is an App for the MN DNR Snowmobile maps. Does anyone know if there is a Wisc App for your maps? Thanks in advance.

Does it show your location in regards to the the map? Better question - does the GPS locate you on the map?

It's a great app, check it out. You can record rides etc. They keep upgrading also. The app is Polaris Snow Trails.

Yes, like others said. It will 'ping' you on the map wherever you are. It will record your ride, lets you highlight areas if you want. Has WI, MI, some of NE Iowa and parts of eastern ND & SD. Also has a lot of northeast US. And Canada, eh.

It has layers that will show dealers, fuel, restaurants, lodging, even a satellite image (taken in spring cause trees are green).

yes, have a '15 Polaris AXYS snowcheck which has the GPS gauge factory installed. I have not used it yet, but the snow trail maps look right for my area. I have also read this GPS gauge is the same one used on the side by sides.

They have an app that others can watch where you are on the trails too. Would be great for someone that rides alone.

Yep, I ordered it with mine. The gauge is in but the installation kit (GPS antenna etc.) is not due in until 11/25/14. They have been on back order. :( I want to get it so I can play with it some and get used to it. I've read the manual cover to cover.

So you don't need cell coverage with this setup Mark?

I am looking forward to the feedback. I haven't used a trail map in years....but would be a cool gadget. Would not be cool if I woke up to a hole in my dash the next morning though.

Would be real nice to have out West. God forbid something happens to your guide. I would have no idea how to get back sometimes.

That's my understanding. It does link to your phone also and shows battery strength, signal strength, missed calls and texts. It seems very similar to what I have in my F150, but I don't have it to play with yet.

Each gauge is registered to your specific VIN, so it can only be used on your sled. That doesn't mean there won't be idiots that steal them though. :(
