I saw it all on Friday and Sat. last weekend as well. Right out of the chute, trail 7 heading north, group of 3 -4 fairly inexperienced riders. Back sled, a girl on a relatively new REV, and all she's doing at 25 - 30 MPH is riding whatever line she wants on the trail, sometimes, right, sometimes, left side, mostly right down the middle. Never once looked back to see me 2 feet behind her for seven, maybe eight miles. No chance in hail you could pass her, she was so unpredictable it wasn't worth the chance. Totally unreal. Finally the leader stops and he's in the middle of the trail, he notices me and lets me go by. I'll bet the dumb chick still didn't know I was behind her watching her flirt with death for 15 - 20 minutes.
Then there were the joe rockets coming at me on the left side of the trail in the corners, giving me a heart attack. Fortunately, that was only a handful of riders on early Friday. The rest of the weekend was relatively devoid of hot rodders. THen there's the other end of the spectrum, I'm riding a good 40 - 60 and I slowed for a minute to look at some scenery, imagine that, still riding, but maybe 30, and here goes a guy by me at about 70. I followed this guy for awhile to see what his story was, and yep, all over the trail, spinning the track coming out of every flippin corner. No wonder the groomer guys get disgusted.
I figure I got another 5 yrs and I'll be done with this stupidity, or I'll be riding only weekdays. People don't have a clue about trail etiquette.
