What it was to have grown up in Michigan (the home of rock and roll) at the time of GFR and others. How many can remember Wild Wednesday's and Freaky Friday's out at Sherwood Forest out in Davison? Five bucks a car load to get in to see the battle of the bands with the likes of MC5, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, Ramones, Terry Knight and the Pack, Amboy Dukes and others. Than to top it off having your dad working at the IMA auditorium in Flint. I use to go with him to ever concert that was there. There was so many that it's hard to remember them all, but than again was kind of flying at them. Anyways. I always loved listening to Grand Funk and my favorite song is
