South Dakota has a Web Site for Trail conditions that is very accurate. There is more Snow in the Hills than everyone thinks. Dead wood is always short of Snow. If you go 10 miles south to Recreational Springs usually there is plenty of Snow. I have gone there twice the last week in February and have never had a bad trip. http://gfp.sd.gov/to-do/snowmobile/map.aspx

Norway isn't an option...

Finland is probably one of the best places on earth. The entire country is one big trail system.

Premium gas in Finland is around $1.90 / gallon today there!

I am guessing that is $1.90/liter actually. Multiply it by 3.8 liters/gallon = $7.22/gallon!!!

"Finland is probably one of the best places on earth." I'd pretty much agree with that.
Anyone for Rovaniemi, (the capital of Finnish Lapland)?

Oh, just one thing: On December 7, 2015, (local time -- 2 hours east of Greenwich)

Sunrise occurs at 10:34
Sunset occurs at 13:42
That's 3 hours + 8 minutes.
or,
Morning Civil Twilight begins at 08:57
Evening Civil Twilight ends at 15:19
That's 6 hours + 22 minutes.

Makes for kind of a short day.

"Premium gas in Finland is around $1.90 / gallon today there!" (?) Not quite.
Gas prices in Finland are currently running €5.30 - €6.06 (Euro) per gallon.

Visiting Rovaniemi Finland?

And if you are visiting (click →) Rovaniemi, Finland, maybe you'll want to visit the (click →) BRP factory there, and maybe you'll want to bring the kids so they can say Hei! to Santa Claus! (Rovaniemi is Santa's Official hometown.)

Togwotee has trails right out of the parking lot...

When we went out 2 years ago my father did trails with a group he met from New York, while my brother and I went exploring with a guide.

He said the trails were prestine. Groomed every night and took you through some cool lookouts. We actually road them for a couple of miles when jumping from one zone to the next - fun twistys a lot of up and downs (im not a fan of the straight 60 mile zhit).

Give it a look! I would recommend that place.
