I have a 09 cat crossfire 800r. I have installed a 136'' skid frame. i have a 1.5'' track and a 2'' i use in michigan. I also have a stage two speedwerx clutch kit for each set up. It still doesn't have that god of a mid range punch when i'm putting in and out of the trees. I'm thinking its the gearing 64/56 is stock. I'd like to re gear it with a cross between m gears and x-fire gears. I would like to have a good set so it works with both track set ups. any info would be great. Is the diamond drive easy to do a install myself? I have access to a press for the gears if need be.

the 09 dd is ez to pull apart and reassemble.more or less the same as the 05 06 dd.60/60 is what they ran on the 700 and the 09 800 is only 5more hp than the 7.you have a64/56 with a 1.96 ratio a 60/60 would be 2.24 69/51 would be 2.17.if you want thet bottom end and mid grunt I would do the 60 60 more or less dropping 3 gear sizes .come to think about it I think the stock M1000 153 is 60/60 so you can prob find a used set of gears on snowest cheep.or go to www.bd-extreme.com
