ok so my plan is to take some 07 M8 drop brackets and put them on my xfire7 trying to figure out if I will have to do anything to the fr arm.I know the M and xfire fr arm is different.I think it will lessen the angel of attack and get the tunnel a bit more room till it is dragging.only negative I can think of is more tipsy but to me that is kinda a positive.so any one do this?will I have to do anything with the fr arm?going to start drilling out rivets soon unless some one can tell me why it is not worth it or is going to cause probs with something else.any feedback will be appreciated

ok so I put on drop brackets first result obviously the back was higher but the track was no longer level to the floor the fr of the skid was about 3/8 of a inch off the floor where it was touching before the drop brackets.so I lessened the limiter strap all the way to the max around 1 1/8 now the skid is closser to level. the fr is now about 1/8 off the floor.what do you guys think how will this change the ride?

I will be curious to hear how you like the set up. Drop brackets, skid and track change! POW time...

It will pretty much just be a M with a bit lower gearing and a few motor mods.I am keeping the 136 1 1/4 and the skid driver gears so I can still run it around the house till I start the commuting to da UP for the season.oh I also drilled holes as high as I could on drop brackets about 1/2 up from stock hole that still raised the back around 2 in but let the 136 skid sit level.

Another thing to do to get the front of the skid to sit lower is move the mounting hole for the front arm down. Look inside the tunnel where the front arm mounts and there should be a plate with two holes. Drill out the lower hole and presto! :)
