so I got this old xlt chassis for free from my buddy, I bought a mxz 583 engine for 50 bucks, so I am going to build a trail bomber so I dont have to run my mtn sled around home.
the chassis is in pretty tough shape, the xtra 12 suspension it came with is all broken up, so as I was tearing it apart I got an idea, the xtra 12 has similar arms to the old m10 the shocks are just placed different, coil springs and a few other differences.
I have never liked the xtra 12 so I am going to convert the old xtra 12 to an m10. dont know if it has ever been done but I wont have to do a ton of work. I think i can switch the shocks around front to back and back to front, flip the now front shock to face forward, add a few shafts and move some shock mounts, ditch the coil springs and be good to go!
