never heard the word bomb cyclone 10 to 20 yrs ago .Probably because its a common weather event but if u give it a scary name it makes for good ratings i guess and more and more people tune in to the hysteria

Ha, finally getting some parts of the winter Armageddon, so Friday evening the wind picked up and blowing all night but no snow with it. So not really a blizzard, now Saturday morning still some wind but not quite as bad as overnight and the snow is starting to come down. So for the western UP kinda a normal winter day.

We'll have a white Christmas down here, but the "white" is stained with farm fields dirt. Snirt as they say? Wind still blowing hard, with 35 mph gusts. Wind should lay down tomorrow morning. Quite the extended BLOW.
