More hot hot hot thru October from the National Forecast NBC National News last night. Can they be right? This pattern just seems to be here to stay since last winter. The failed corn crop is beyond repair & will cost us in fuel & food. I hope they are wrong but has been warm since March & now July in the Northwoods somewhere around 6 degrees above normal on average & that is huge!

As I've heard from John on more than one occasion, the longer a pattern is in place the more likely the shift will be extreme. Let's hope that bodes well for us snowlovers.

Our weather is so unpredicable anymore, I don't think there's a meteorologist alive that could ever begin to forecast anything more than a week at a time.

I have heard about the extreme shifts and the dry weather the summer before the big snow fall winters ( 86 & 78 ...I think ? ) but that was just gossip from some of the locals. I can only hope for the BEST and that would be " EPIC " snow this winter. After enduring 4 + weeks of almost unbearable temps at work.... I have had it with the heat.

The only thing that made me beat the miserable heat was scheduling our annual WUP trip with some friends from Indiana. I must admit having off of work for 2 weeks and coupling that with our trip to ride with friends has been exciting to think about.
Maybe some erupting volcanos is what we need ?

I heard that the only weather forecaster that correctly predicted last years warmer than average winter was the Japan weather office and that they have predicted a colder and snowier winter for us this year. Hope they are right again.
