Maybe you missunderstood some of my post, I also said I had a great time in the YOOP and the Groomers did a great job. (positive post guys) I am in my fifties and have been riding for forty years and want to continue to do so. I was born and raised in the Yoop and want to have the oportunity to ride there and it won't happen if we lose trails. Sorry if I offended anyone or burst their positive bubble.........

I'm in my forties and tired of the rants....I have a solution. Everyone that is tired of dealing with something about the sport that bothers them, sell your sled(s). No sense in snowmobiling if you don't enjoy it....there will always, whether in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s or the 2010s, be someone doing something that will bug you....and if it is too much, then time to get out of the sport.

I've been riding for 12 years now mostly the yoop. I've ran my snocross sled on trails and my mountain sled but I respect everyone I pass or come by that may need help. I agree that most those guys are in there teens and twenties and they think that oh because the guys on sled necks have super duper bad *** sleds I should to. Once again fine and dandy I've been in that stage but I was still respectfull. I'm now 21 and it drives me crazy that kids my same age can't or don't have half the respect I do for our sport!!!!! But ill tell YOU something it'll be a cold day in **** before I leave this sport I love it and I have yet to find a sport that has any better feelings like perfect trails or a trail braking day or a fresh POW day. Plain and simple you cannot beat it. Everyone complains its a fact!! Everyone gets mad pi$$ed or annoyed but enjoy it and keep making memories that's what it's all about my 3 yr old went on his first ride this year that's my greatest memory and I can't wait till my newest lil one gets to do the same with daddy!!! I love the yoop and this site and the close friends I've made from it also. Stay positive everyone and enjoy the season..

Modman,
Some of my fondest memories are snowmobiling with my mom and dad when I was a kid on the old Johnson Challenger. Cooking hot dogs in the woods was a gourmet feast to us. When my kids were young, we did the same thing with them and they still talk about how much fun that was. I grew up in the Sault and we would ride all over the eastern UP on very rustic trails to say the least. That is why I am so passionate about keeping the trails we have and respecting the land owners. I want my kids to be able to take their children out to enjoy the UP like I did and like you are doing now with your children. If that means I have to "complain" on the net to maybe make someone aware of a problem that can affect us all, so be it. Have fun with your children as you hand down the sport of snowmobiling to them.
