ZL 600 SS Smart Ride Suspension Upgrade

The smart ride suspension on my ZL 2002 600SS is junk and I want to replace it. Has anyone had this similiar problem and what was your upgrade. Thanks.

If you find any other Cat with that same suspension the shocks will interchange. You should always check collapsed and extended length to be sure.

Seams that "Smart" suspension ain't so smart after all. Almost everyone with that shock is looking to change it.

the shocks are great res shocks if your computer is shot pull the shocks bring them to your re builder and have them turned in to reg non electronic actuated shocks.

I had the same sled. Those shocks were garbage. They would go out every 1900mi. Rebuilding them did not work.. they lasted 1000mi. I got sick of them and had gas shocks put on.

When the sled is running or off, you are able to push the suspension to the ground with one finger. The ride is rough and it bottoms out, it never use to operate like that. I have not had it in to a dealer, just trying to save some $$.
