Talked to a Gas Station owner last Week in the UP and He said the Doo's are always in last place at the Pump. The Cats are using twice as much Gas and they are his favorite.

Gas

Wow, times have changed. I had a friend that always rode those big skidoo triple, triples. I never worred about gas, we had to plan our trips by his gas stops. Whenever someone would comment on his gas use, he would smile and say, its only a problem when it stops using gas. :)

Your gas station buddy has not met me with a 800 xcsp that gets 7.5 miles to the gallon. What are you starting? Who cares except for the guy paying, and most likely he don't care because he is out riding!

My 08 GSX avg's between 2 to 3 gallons less than my buddies sleds except for the 08 Nytro which were pretty even. The list of sleds I compared this agains is and 03 and 04 ZR 900, 01 ZR600, 98 ZR600, 02 MXZ800, 96 FormulaZ 573, 97 Formula Z 583 and 02 Legend02 700.

I don't have a problem with it.

Put a single pipe on that old 700 800 doo triple & you were talking 17MPG. Made all the twins look real bad with gas & oil useage in its' time & very trail friendly too. Triple pipes just made them go fast in a straight line & pour gas thru them but that is how you get tons of peaky power.

Of course the green ones always win; but as we know, sometimes they're black.

When I had my polaris 2000 XC SP 500 and my wife had my Ski-doo 2000
fomula 600, we pull up to the pump and I put about 3 gallons more in the
polaris 500 but it was faster then the 600.

We are in Watersmeet now the etec was getting about 22 mpg. We have a XP 800 that is getting about 17-18 that is getting just a hair better then the 2 Yamaha Vectors. The Xp was leading so it is great mpg.

takes allot of fuel and air to consistently be out in front of the pack.and still keep pistons and cranks in working order
