Just wondering what things people have forgot to bring along for their trip ? i.e. suit, helmet or extra clothes.
One of my first trips up we were going to saddle bag it for three days and when we get to first motel after about 225 miles for the day everyone heads down to hot tub and pool but I relize my swim trunks are still at home. Next day stopped in a town ( forget where) and found a store I could walk to to buy a pair so I could enjoy the next two stop overs.
Now I triple chck to make I have EVERYTHING !!!

This past December I went to pick up my sled to drive it back to where we were staying and realized we left the helmets at home. Luckily I had my ATV helmet/goggles in the barn in order to the sled for the night. I then bought a new Modular2 for the w/e which is now a backup helmet.

Last year I forgot the keys but luckily I carry and extra DESS key with me altho the wife did not get to ride for a day until I got another key for hers. She din't mind, she used the spare time for shopping.

That's happened to us before also...actually we forgot the key to unlock the trailer when picking it up so you can't hook it up to the truck. That sort of thing always happens at the worst time!

I've forgotten boots at home, rode the whole weekend with tennis shoes on. Forgot the sled keys at home, forgot the keys to the cabin at home one time. Luckily, we were only about 30 miles into the trip when I relaized I didn't bring the keys to the cabin so we could turn around easily enough.

The forgotten coat and the new coat. On a trip to a friends cabin near Boone, Mi. the conditions started to go downhill as soon as we got there. A decision was made to head to the UP the next morning. Upon stopping for gas at the Bridge I reach for coat and NO coat, the only coat. It's at the cabin ya' dummy,... me. Well on to the nearest AC dealer at Eckerman, Mi. I think it was.
The new coat but really the story I tell. I find the one coat of three that fits, a womens large. I don't care i need a coat to wear. I pull out my credit card and the owner says he doesn't take credit cards. Costs to much for him to drive to the Soo to collect. Says he'll take a check. A check over a credit card I say? Me, nor my buds, have a check with us. Personally I don't carry around a blank check with me.
What happens next stunned me and have not forgotten it to this day. The owner says to take the coat, a $200.00 coat, and send him a check when I get back home. I can not believe what I just heard and my jaw is on the floor. He says he meant what he said and that he knows I'll send the check. We shake hands, look each other in the eye as I tell him I'll do just that. When I got home that check was in the postal box inside an hour.
Is there a moral to this, who knows. But I'm sure he felt good helping a guy out and it's always right to keep your word.

Packed up everthing in garbage bags so they would stay dry. Put the garbage out before I left for the trip. Got to my buddies house (ahalf hour away) to pick him up and when he put his stuff in the back of the pickup he asked why I had A BAG OF GARBAGE. Hurry up back home to beat the garbage pickup truck.
Made it, thank the snow gods

Trailered and hour from home and forgot the nose section of my BV2s Helmet. Ishpeming was about 15 miles away so I went to the Yamaha dealer there and bought their best helmet (HJC). I still rode, but the helmet allowed so much airflow through it I gave it to a friend. I love my BV2s, especially on cold days.
