We did this a few years ago and with new members joining us all the time I thought it'd be good to revisit.

List your Hometown and what it's famous for. Every town has a story and here's your chance to tell us about yours. So here we go...

Neenah, Wisconsin. Birthplace of the Kimberly Clark Corporation, makers of Huggies, Scott Towels, and Kleenex. Also home to Neenah Foundry, the maker of all those manhole covers you see in every corner of the world.

Marathon City,WI

Home of Marathon Cheese Corporation. One of the largest, if not the largest, cheese processing facitlities in the world.
They shred, slice, cube, dice, stick, etc., any type of cheese. Chances are that you have purchased some cheese that has come through one of their plants, you just don't know it.

Mound MN the arm pit of LK minnetonka.
also the home of something most guys on this site had Tonka toys.the Andrews sisters.Kevin Sorbo the star of the cheesy tv show Hercules. his sword is at the fire dept
the city has a total area of 4.9 square miles of which, 2.9 square miles of it is land and 2.0 square miles of it (40.04%) is water.
"Mound derived its name from the Indian mounds once found within the present-day limits. They were not built by the Dakota Indians but were made by prehistoric Indians.
Mound has about 1,000 docks, and even more boats.

Elkhorn Wisconsin.
The town was started at a trail intersection the original settlers used, they marked the intersection by putting a set of Elk Horns in a tree. So they named the town Elkhorn, true story.
Its been known as "The Christmas Card Town" since the 40s because of the unique Christmas decorations in the town square during the holidays.
Not very exciting, but that's why we like it.:)

Hazel Park, MI -- known for:

* The Hazel Park Harness Raceway (now probably does more business from year-round simulcast betting than from actual live racing)
* Many transplanted southerners who came to work in the auto factories, hence the nickname "Hazeltucky"
* The overturned gasoline/diesel tanker fire and ensuing overpass collapse on I-75 that made national news two years ago (of which I had the dubious distinction of being in charge until the chief showed up!)
