Place to stay

So who's got a place to stay now that every room north of Hurley is booked tried at least 10 different hotels this afternoon all booked.
What everybody from mn,wi,il,sd,ia up there now that there going to get a blast and nobody else has snow.
Hope they get all there talking, it's sure a lot closer then the 16 hour drive to the mountans.
Thanks if anybody has any thoughts?

If they get the snow why not stay south of hurley? Better yet try over in Price county. Great trails and nowhere near the traffic.

The way the strom is moving hurley and north are were they are going to get dump on, looking at what nooa says.
Maybe with all that traffic it will suck because to many sleds, ya right. If John can look in his crystal weather ball and say they will get another blast next week then i would just wait. God only knows it will warm up next week and melt again not.

Think lots of Snow!!!

Try Bayfield area (if the storm pans out, that is). Hardly any traffic compared to Hurley and north. You will know more in a couple of days after the storm but I'll bet there are openings in Bayfield, Wasburn, Iron River, Ashland, etc.

I had three friends come up and stay last year. You could stay at my place in Ironwood if you really needed. Couple minutes from the trail maybe a mile from Hurley. No frat party type situation/keg stands, LOL, i have a wife and kids but a place to crash with a fire place and pool table in the living room.........Over a foot more is expected its been snowing since 3:00 pm yesterday.

You are a brave man, I would do the samething, My wife on the other hand would be running every worse case senario through her head. In turn driving me nuts, I can here it now, how do you know this guy, where will he sleep, are you out of your mind? I am going to my parents house. Great Plan now you can ride all weekend.

You have made a very nice gestuer to open your home up, I believe in good people and think it is great you do also.

It's hard to believe everything is booked up there. In Wakefield there are a few places also, next to Big Powderhorn, the lodging rents places, the before the ski hill is Powdermill Creek that is very large and always looks like they have room.

Also I thing Pioneer lodging rents places

It's nice to know that elsewhere besides the UP is getting snow. That will help with other's economys and help the traffice in the UP.

...........................................Yeah my wife said the same thing! But i asssured her fellow John Dee'rs should be cool. And they will spend most thier time riding. I plan on buying my neighbors house and renting it to sledders/ski'rs in the winter and then for whatever in the summer.

Just talked to the owner of "The Advanced" Motel (right next to Little Ceasas and Chinese place)and he has rooms available pretty cheap, nothing fancy for sure. 30 seconds from gas station and the trail in Ironwood. Bill is real nice and his maintaince man can fix anything. Advance Motel

George, I did the same thing about 5 years ago. I spoke to the person and was very comforatable about it. They lived in a nice suburb in Chicago also, seemed to have a decent job and family.

The problem was my wife had a fit. The person couldn't make it anyway.

Maybe his wife thought I was the wacko, and put the kabash on it.
