Looking for some input. Planning on riding from Eagle River WI, to Copper Harbor and back.. Has anyone done this trip and know the aprox. mileage?? Anything else needed to know on the trip, let me know thanks!!

You're somewhere in the 350-400 mile range, depending if you take #3 all from Watersmeet to Copper Harbor (or as far as it goes) or if you take some of the more interesting trails on the way. It can be done without too much trouble in a longer day if you keep at it. Like Slimcake said, why do this? Missing a lot of fun places to ride on the way. We normally ride out of a cabin north of Eagle River. Prefer to take a day to go up and a day to come back. Still put on lots of miles, but see the scenes, hit the side trails, take the longer way to get places, and play a little off-trail at the same time.

Yea, we are not planning on doing this all in one day. We are leaving on Wednesday and will be back Friday so we will be able to take our time some what. It should be a good time as I have not been passed Mass City so hoping to see some cool things along w/good riding along the way!!

Go for it! I'm thinking It'll be a 400 mile ride. We plan on riding from Paulding to Copper Harbor in 3 weeks, and plan taking an alternate way back, so it'll probably be in the 350 range. Definatly take trail 3 all the way there, if you have extra time, take a different way back. That's my 2 cents...
Bud did RT 1 day 3 Lakes to CH & has to be 400+miles from 3 lakes. He said he was having out of body experinces coming back thru Watersmeet hit some ruff stuff & body was giving out not enjoyable. Guy was in his late 20s so in good shape. IMO stay in Greenland/Mass City ride from there see it all in in your time frame very doable. Have fun.
Man is it really that far? I thought I did mass to twin lakes in around 30 minutes. I thought I could get to Phoenix in about an hour or less. I haven't rode all the way to copper harbor though. Are you talking round trip?

These miles are approximate but pretty close,Eagle River to Watersmeet(40) WM to Bruces Crossing (30) and Bruces Crossing to Copper Harbor (135) so a total of 205. like I said give or take a few miles but this is very close. These are very fast and easy miles but I dont like to ride up to Copper Harbor on the weekends , gets very busy especially earlier on in the season like now , good luck and have fun.
