I have friends coming up from Illinois same weekend of Make a wish and want to bring them along but it's full. If anyone has to cancel I would buy the tickets.
I don't know for certain, but I would guess it has more to do with capacity in the facility than anything. If you've not been to the location in Atlantic Mine, you'd see that as well. I'm certain food, raffle and all those are contributing factors as well when taking into consideration headcount for meals and the beverages.
O, I agree. John most certainly knows how to do it well. It seems every year, more want to come and, especially late comers. So, if we can find a bigger venue at a reasonable rate it would be good. I mean, if people could still today sign up or, just show up how many more would be there and, how much more money could be raised ?

I believe if you read the FAQ's about the Ride-In you can still show up and say hello and bid on silent auction items, but the backcountry rides, food and free t-shirt would not be available. If I can find that, I will edit and post it.

A. You may come to the banquet, but if you did not pay the registration fee, then you cannot partake in the meal or the backcounty rides. You can partake in the silent auction and raffle as well as hanging out with other visitors of the site.

I would not have a problem with some that did not register showing up to bid on items, but we really are cozy in the new venue and cannot handle dozens of folks showing up that did not register. Also, as Mark said, you will not be entitled to eat or get a shirt and please do not show up for the backcountry rides. We have a list of all registered and only those will be allowed to ride.
I am sorry that we cannot handle last minute reservations. It is not the fault of the venue when we get this close. It is because like any event where food and drink is catered and guests receive a gift for coming, numbers need to be known a week or so in advance. Pretty much just like a wedding.
The registration was open for 3 months before we had to close it, so I think this should have been plenty of time for folks to make plans and sign up. I realize that some are spur of the minute type folks, but all the planning that goes into this just cannot accommodate last minute changes like this.
Also, if anyone wants to contribute to the event, they still can by sending a check made out to the Make A Wish Foundation and send it to me at: PO Box 182, Mohawk, MI 49950.

ummmmm, not sure what to do, my buddy and his wife are coming and if I cant get two than I am in a predicament. His wife is a bit mean so maybe not all that bad, she could stay home,,,just kidding. If you can get rid of it go ahead because I'll need 2 for sure,,,,, or none. I'll keep looking and maybe another single will show up
