Looking to go out west for the first time. Need some info on either place. Will be looking to go and ride for two days with a guide and then come home. Will need to rent a sled. How much will I roughly be looking on spending and where would you recommend?

Thanks

well if doing Buna vista one can only assume you are thinking burrants backcountry fyi for your first time out I would not spend the cash to go ride with his wife or skinner.CO rocks but best to go and hang in a toyhaller in the parking lots on the passes. usualy good night partys on the weekends with lots of guys just as good as burrant willing to go show u some new playgrounds the next day.

I have never done tog every one I know has and loves it if my first and looking to rent with a guid I would be leaning hard that way.

if I were flying and renting and wanting a killer first time with unreal views Taho been yrs but really really want to go back.anyone up for a 25hr drive ?

I have rode buena vista, it is cool, good rental companies, cotton wood country snowmobile rentals, super nice guys, not alot of other riders, it was great for my wife and I for a first time out west, cool sites to see, there is a old ghost town and a lodge that is way out in the middle of no where. we were the only ones with our guide

I've never ridden Buena Vista, but, I have to plug Tog on this one. They will set you up, and make sure you have a great time.

I have been to Togwotee 4 times and have had great times there, the night life is zero, the food is ok, but remember you'll be in bed by 9 anyway. we had rental cars so we would head into Jackson hole, its a nice town with some good places to visit and see the sites. My last trip out west was to bever creek lodge in Utah, small place, great food, great people and great prices. Not as steep at togwotee but alot less traffic and tons of fun

Just got back from Togwotee monday night. It was my first time out there I met 8 buddies from Wyoming. I flew to Jackson Hole and got a shuttle from the airport to the Togwotee Mountain Lodge from them. The sled rental for a new M800 Cat was $250 a day. I'm not sure on the other sleds or guide service. It was awesome out there!!! The best part was the Riding options from trail to totally nuts!!! and everything in between. My buddies from Wyoming are more on the nuts side so I've learned in a hurry the last couple of years. much better than West Yellowstone and my buddies were impressed too. They ride the Big Horns & the Snoweys all the time and really liked Togwotee. There is another lodge down the road cheaper Lava Mountain Lodge I think? but for a couple days I'd go to Togwotee Mountain Lodge it was around $150 a night for 2 queen size beds. FYI once you've been out there it can get really addicting!!!! Hope you have a great trip

Been to Lava and really enjoyed it, but for the first 5 times out it was Togwotee. They have it all right there. You can even rent a helmet, suit and gear.
