I have a 2007 skidoo mxz blizzard,600 sdi with 10800 miles on it. I did rering it at about 6500 miles, only rings nothing to the lower end. I have not checked compression yet but it still runs great, and wouldn't be afraid to that it anywhere. Do I put some money into it and sell with peace of mind, go thouugh engine etc. or sell as is and make sure they know it. Also where do you start pricing something with this kind of miles.Any input would be great, thanks.

Complete it is probally worth $2000.00 I'm in the same boat, thinking of parting mine out, pain in the a** but could make a extra $1500.00 bucks. My 2 cents

not worth selling if u know it is good and trust it.
only way to go is part it out or be lucky to get 2k right now no more than 3k if we get snow in october .
so if me keep or part out.
bad thing with parting this yr no one had a chance to bust stuff up

If u aint gunna do the bottom yourself dont do it...will not recoupe the $$$...even though motor would be fresh rest of sled will still have the miles on it...and price i see is about right so if u can live with a couple grand give or take sell it...other wise summerize it and cover it and let it set for a spare. Wont cost nothin till ya have to use it...or let a friend use it if they tag it for ya.

I had a 2000 Polaris with 8,800 miles on it, good shape, ran good, but never in the engine and the entire sled was in good shape, put it on Craig's List around August for $1000 and sold it the next day. This was about 5 years ago, probably worth more now. But price it right and it will move fast, yes wait until fall if you have a place to store it. Never hurts to give it a good cleaning and shine first, either. Other than elbow grease I would not invest $$ before you sell it, you'll never get your money back.

sold my 02 600 edge X at beginning of season for $2000 with 12,000 miles on it. New rings and pistons at 8500 miles. sled was a spare last 3 seasons. Sold to a buddy and he fully knew the condition and how anal i am on maintence and loves the sled...ran strong all year

Just sold a 2007 F6 , it had 9500 on it, comp was 125/130 . I sold it to a friend of a friend for 2k. Kind of felt like I gave the thing away, it had a new secondary this year, and ice ripper track last year. It felt like I gave it away for nothing but but at 9-10 k for miles.... things start to keep going wrong every season.

Are you selling it because of the miles? Reason I ask is the 600 SDI motor seems to be a strong motor. I have an 06' MXZX 600 HO SDI that currently has 13,801 miles on it. I've had it since day one and the only thing I've done / replaced is a new track at 10,000 or so miles. I took it in this year for a pre-season compression test and it was perfect at 132 / 133 MAG & 135 PTO.

What a shame that this thinking prevails on such an expensive piece of equipment. On a bike, or car or truck, airplane, you name it with that sort of use/miles, you would think it was just nicely broken in.

Wonder if this sort of thinking will change with the longer wearing 4 stroke engines out there? Stuff still wears out, shocks and skiis and tracks, and clutches, but will the day come when we look at sleds and say..."hey, I broke 45,000 miles this year and she just needs an oil change"...?

wont happen the abuse on a sled chasi and its parts wont allow it unless you overbuild it then you have a tank that no one wants.
and if it comes to a point that 4 strokes are the only option' and thay dont drop 100lbs or better of them. then poss you will see 2 stroke sleds with 40 k on them only because it is the only option for a light weight sled.but those will be more expensive than new because of the cost of keeping the chasi and moving parts together it will be a mountian only thing I suspect

Better with the price of new sleds, use to be able to buy a used sled with a few thousand mile that still had a lot of life in its wear parts, in the 1500 to 2500 range seams like now sleds have double the miles for double the cost.

Had a friend that sold a trailer a few weeks ago that was very close to what I have 2 place clam shell all aluminum one year older than mine, for more that what I paid for mine in 2001 new. Guess this is good for selling....

Old rev 1 platform behind could be 2x if 2013 release all new. To me sell it for what you can at fair market price or keep as spare. Value will NOT increase that is for sure & carrying costs PITA too.

Keep it if it still runs fine and you have no problems with it. I ahve an 06 with 7K on it an dit still runs great. I can't see buying a newer machine for the amount of snow we get, which by the way seems less and less each year.

I have an 08 SDI with 6200 miles on it. Motor never touched, and the compression is still strong. I love that motor. I wish Doo would have kept it in their line up. They went to the Etec because of the battery-less system.

I agree with what most are saying but i will also add that if it is in good shape other than the high miles that it is a buyers kinda market deal on the REVs and they have been bringing and selling for good money used.Plus the sled you have has a few things in its favor the 06 and 07 was the best 2 years for the REV,the SDI motor, and it is a blizzard and i believe the shocks are rebuildable on it.I watched these sleds sell early this season for 3500 and seen them with less miles sell for 4500.With that said if i had the extra cash at this time i would be all over trying to buy this sled.

My 07 D7 has 8371 miles and has never had a bearing replaced. Fresh top end at 5300 miles but all original bogie, drive, and jackshaft bearings. It is very well maintained and i would replace but everything is still tight. Maintence over miles imo. Still reliable. Had a 94 indy 500 years ago that had 15k miles and engine was original. Have to deduct some money from the price when miles are high but if well taken care off its still worth decent money.

My 06 Renegade has high miles in my opinion but I still cannot justify selling it to buy a newer one, especially since I don't get out that much.

Have a spare or give a new enthusiast a chance for a entry level sled withy full disclosure of the condition. Our sport needs new people and the cost of getting started is hurting us all.

Thanks for all the info. Probably will be cleaning it up and selling it in the fall at a good price unless someone wants it now for some stupid price, because my kid will want to kill me if I sell it before the season is over.
