Whitney Houston What Do You Think?

Now that we are waiting for winter to return in the next few days we may want to pass the time discussing Whitney Houston. I tell ya I was plain pissed off when I heard she died & its seems the cause of her death maybe an overdose of prescription drugs. The thing that bothers me the most with Whitney she was blessed with God-given talent & no one could sing like Whitney she was alone at the top with those chops no one else can sing like that! How could she throw all that talent away over an altered state with some pills? Sure an altered state from time to time can be enjoyable in moderation but why OD & throw your life away? Others Elvis, Jimmy Hendricks, Janis Joplin, Marilyn Monroe & Michael Jackson did no one learn anything form their deaths? What a waste of their talent & I don't feel sorry for any of them just plain pissed off that they can be that stupid & throw all they had away!!! Now that I got that off my chest everybody can rip me for being an insensitive *****.lol

Maybe we should start a thread about our real fallen heroes and not some overpaid entertainer. War vets, firefighters, cops... Just my opinion.

I would ask the same question, and in the same breath ask why do people riding sleds drink and drive into trees and end up dead.
It wont happen to me, or I just could care less.
It is a sad deal either way.

I had a friend who was a pilot when she was in her prime. He hated it when he had to fly her because she was an arrogant, demanding bitch. His word, not mine. These people live in an existance that none of us could comprehend.

Did she deserve to die..... probably not.

Should she take headlines over our real heros?

Not a Friggin chance!!!

My only gripe her home state flying the flag at half staff. Other than that I think we should respect the dead.

And what about flying our flag at 1/2 mast over her passing? B.S in my eyes, that is for our fallen heros of war.

Dave's friend says she was not a nice person. I don't know about that?...... but she sure could sing that I do know. Not sure why this hero thing is an issue my post never refered to her as a hero in any way just pissed her talent thoughtlessly down the drain with pills is the issue to me.

I have a better question Dion Warwick was her best friend.
what no one Dion talked to could tell her this was going to happen?
what is the point of being the spokesperson of the Psychic friends Network if they cant let you know your best friend is going to die in a hotel room parting it up before the Gramy party

People that are blessed with talent, be it a good voice, are all flawed in some way. Celebrate the voice that was, not the trash the person became.

Dolly Parton wrote "I Will Always Love You" Funny little song when Dolly sang it & not knocking Dolly she has written some good tunes. Then Whitney sang it & became her signature song just blew everyone away. Funny no interviews with Dolly one would think she would have something to say. Wonder if there was a rub there?

Dolly Parton still owns the right to the song so she actually made more money on it that The Crack Head. Dolly just made more money with all the Itune purchases. The Crack Head did not write a song so she did not get much off the residuals.

she Dolly is going to make millions in the next week or so from this od.
On Houston's death, Parton commented: "Mine is only one of the millions of hearts broken over the death of Whitney Houston. I will always be grateful and in awe of the wonderful performance she did on my song and I can truly say from the bottom of my heart, 'Whitney, I will always love you. You will be missed.'"

I was wondering why this topic had not come up yet! I don't really care, but what bothered me the most is the way her family treated Bobby Brown. He no doubt is a bad guy too, but what Bible are they reading from? They preach one thing and practice another! He's the father of her child, and for one day, they could have set differences aside.
