Munising Lodging

Alger Falls Motel in Wetmore is a nice place to stay. There isn't a bar, swimming pool, or breakfast, But the garage and game room are convenient.
If you want something within walking distance, I've heard good things about the White Pine Lodge in Christmas. (Next to the casino and Froggy's)

Get out of town away from all of the rift raft.

Go to white fawn. www.whitefawn.com
Bring your own bar supplies and take over the community center.
Great cabins. A couple of which were remodeled over this past summer.

It's nice to just drive down the street and get some liquor when I'm up there! Of course I've been trying to cut down haha!

You can go agross 28 and then ride into Wetmore or go east to Shingleton and catch the trail.

Opps, sorry, I was thinking of the Best Western east of Wetmore

Your thinking of the AmericInn.. They are talking about the Holiday Inn Express...

People should stay at the White fawn... I dont get why people choose tiny hotel rooms over comfortable cabins when the rates are damn near the same?? Lock your sled in the trailer every night or park it in front of your door?? I choose door... But then I own a resort with cabins... LOL

I second or third or is it 10th for the White Fawn. Been there, and I'll challange anyone to find nicer folks. Clean, clean, clean leave the key in your sled. Heck, leave the key in the truck. Just great.

Holiday Inn is in a strange spot. It is West of Munising on top of the hill on Lake Superior. Not to far from Christmas, MI. (not the holiday- (not a gas stations))At minimum you have to cross m28. I have never rode the access trail but I would expect snow to be light that close to the big lake. I am sure it is a nice place. I just personally dont think its a great spot.

I have stayed at the Whitefawn a couple of times in years past. Great place, highly recommend it. Great to get gas at the end of the day and buy a 12 pack and some snacks for the evening right outside your door..

Our club is staying at White Pine Lodge, unfortunately they ran out of available rooms and looking what is available in the Christmas MI area.

Never been there? Where is the best place to stay? Thanks so much.

There was a snowmobile curfew in the City limits when I was there a few years ago, so we stayed at the Falls (it was nice) because it was out of town.

Althought we are not stay up late partiers but when your snowmobling stuff happens and we did not want to get stuck with no way to our rooms if we had to come back late.

Not sure if there still is a curfew but you may want to check.
