The people that have something to Cry, Complaine,Get upset about, John, how about making a new section in the discussion board for members to get things off their chest. Bieng political, enviromental, TRAIL SIGNS, What ever people want to cry about. That way all the "garbage'' stays in one spot. Just an Idea.

A similar suggestion came to me yesterday and I think it would be nice to create a topic exclusively for complaints or negative comments. I just need to think of a creative name for it. Suggestions? A name of "fouled plug" was given, but Snowest already uses that one, so would like to come up with something different.

The all the rules of the board will remain (ie. no political/religious posts and no bashing). Plenty of other sites on the internet for that, but I recognize the need and therapy that venting gives, just would like to confine it to a topic that is dedicated to it.

So open to suggestions. Squeaky Wheels? Whine List?... I don't know.

Why not just put a link to hardcoresledder or somewhere similar?

I always liked the discussion board on this site since it once was comprised of mostly happy-go-lucky people.

Fouled plus aren't really a problem anymore with today's sleds. Current downers include Bumpy Trails, Cold Feet, Wet Butte, Cold hands, Fogged Shields and Bad Gas. I like Bumpy Trails.

"Curve(s) ahead" "track spin" "major moguls" "trail bumps" and lastly "Just write (ride) it out!". The story behind the last suggestion was from back in the day with my buddies. They would cry and moan about the trails or frostbite and I would just tell them to man up and "just ride it out".

Me too! I get an e mail for every post and unfortunately it is the whining ones that I make sure I read through every post to make sure rules were not broke. Most of the positive ones I just skim over as I know they are safe.

I hate to start moderating things to keep only positive posts, especially because that can be up to debate what is positive or at least constructive.

With the new topic area, I would still have to read through all the whining, but at least all of them would be in their own little "closet" and the rest of you would not have to deal with it, unless you wanted to.

LOL. Who is kidding who? I bet the first place most people will check is the whine thread. Including the people complaining about the whining. Mark my words if you build a whine forum, they will come. Probably be one of the most popular threads on here.;)

I'm with Hoosier.

Why add another Topic? There are enough already and posts will still come up whenever the "New Posts" button is clicked.

Most of the complaints are from those who haven't been around here for very long and, once they figure it out, they will adapt or go away. Then there will be somebody else right behind them and so on, and so on.

I prefer the "ignore and/or respond accordingly" concept to another topic that will inevitably spill over to the existing ones.

I think enough old-timers have gone away already. Why open the gates with a Whine and Complaints area that will surely invite more negativity and users who simply don't get what John Dee Land is/was all about.

This was just a thought. I see a 50/50 on this topic so far. I know on different sites they have their "unloading zones" (which is a great title). Not being involved with those threads are great. When I log in here there are a couple that pop up everyday.

These other sites have there sections and you don't see all the Bull in there Misc. threads. But I guess its no big deal to overlook these threads also. Just a thought.

But I will rub it in a bit. Leaving for Cooke on Wed.
