Is it a 800 with a water regulator on the exhaust ? Just a thought when the rubber gasket in it gets bad on my challenger it has like a hiccup at the bottom alittle , hope this helps , what motor you have?

I believe its a 956cc two stroke, or at least its in the 900cc class, maybe around 130 hp. I was thinking about cleaning the power valves and the carbs. but was going to see what everyone else thinks.

It should be a 951 basicly the same motor as my 787 , it has a water regulator on the exhaust that commonly fails
It will prob leak alittle water if it does , I clean my power valve a couple times a year , there is also a small filter inside the carbs that cloggs real easy and it will run it lean if not cleaned or replaced

i have an 02 GTXdi and it also has the 951cc motor. question I have is where is the VTS(trim) button on this model? the engine runs great but I would like to trim it down a little when towing the tubers. i have a start/stop, Mode and Set buttons on the left handle. thanks.

So I sould be checking a few things, how and where is the exhaust regulator, and do I simply install a new one or clean the old one. I will clean the power valves as well, now where is the filter by the carbs, I did find a filter by the front of the sea doo by taking out the front storage container, anything else i should do. do you guys have any pics of these items to share.

thanks

The filter is inside the carbs , about the size of a dime in diameter , the regulator id just take out on water with seat off and watch for small drips from it while running it , it looks like the power valves. But on top the muffler part of the exhaust. , there is a rubber valve inside it , with a c clamp around it , the clamp rusts off and tears the boot , if it dosent leak your fine yet, if it was me while I hard carbs off to check the filter id rebuild with all new gaskets , can get a rebuild kit for around 90 off ebay I think , it includes new filters

I would first start by checking water regulator it is the easiest , then clean powervalves, then dig into carbs cause they can be a pain to get at and get out ,

Bobbo,

I will check for the leaking water regulator, should the red adjuster nut be all the way in or what setting if any, I will leave it alone if no dripping occures. I assume like sleds the power valve gaskets will need to be replaced when i tear them off. do you have a good source for sea doo parts?

if it isnt leaking dont touch the screw on it , otherwise all the way in and out 3 turns and adjust as needed , power valve are exactly like doing a sled .
