For Wasps! Apparently its been a great year for them. Went to move my trailer yesterday and got swarmed. They had a huge nest in the trailer tongue. This morning I took a picture, (TTIWWP), before I disappeared them. Sorry its a bad pic, but when it flashed they woke up, angry again! Just a heads up.;)

When I saw this thread that had trailer and wasps in the title, I immediately thought, "the tongue" even before I saw the details. Last month I had to move the big trailer and they immediately came out when I flipped the tongue lever back. Out came the spray as I had to get them out. This happens quite frequently, even had them in the truck by the hood hinge for the first time and a different kind built a mud nest on my battery, usually they are in my mirrors.

Yep, I'm going to need to check my truck now that it got pushed out of the garage. It rarely gets used in the off season. Mud Daubers, or mud wasps aren't too bad because there are only a few per nest. The bigger problem is they only nest where they find food. They eat other bugs, including spiders and other wasps. Seems like the hornets and wasps have been worse than usual this year. I had to remove a huge paper hornet nest in our crabtree near our patio last week when the grandkids started whacking at it like a pinata.

Yikes Dave hope you didn't get stung! I removed a wasp nest from my soffits thought I was done then they all swarmed me from the bottom of my screen door when I went in the house. 17 ozzing stings on my legs next day in ER felt like crap took a long time to heal up those stings. Since then I give wasps a wide berth & if 1 wasp around seems to always sting me.lol

Yup I had a wasp nest in the aluminum channeling around the cap of my enclosed trailer. Opened the cap, looked up saw a bunch of them sleeping. Lets just say they went peacefully,,, with carb cleaner! Couldn't find any wasp spray didn't know if carb cleaner would do the trick but they all fell to the ground instantly.

I had them in the round vent on one of the sides of my trailer. Lucky, I seen them in there. Just went and got some wasp spray and sprayed them from the inside of the trailer though the vent. Next day opened up the vent and got them out.

yup, bad year for the stingers. I am in construction and have had my share of stings, I lost track after 20 this year. After the first day I bought wasp spray by the case. The worst stings I experienced was these little black hornets, fast crazy little buggers. Your stung before they even land it seems. , got seven in one day, a few on the neck, on top my head and some on the arms. No warning, I set a nail in a loose corner board and than my head hurt, than I seen them!!!!!

Grab some aluminum foil and ball it up and shove it in the tongue. No more issues at that end of the tongue. It will keep out mice too if you climb under and block both ends. Mice chew wiring, which can melt the whole wiring harness as it touches the sides of the channel AND the wires in your truck....don't ask me how I know that.
