Just wanting to see what kind of miles people have on their Polaris 600's. I have a 2006 switchback with 5300 miles on it and running great but want to see what if anything to expect or maybe do to it to keep it running that way.

I had 6200 on my 2006 switchback and sold it in 2010. Friend who has it is still riding it with no issues. Have 4200 on my 2010 RMK 600.

Had over 7000 on an 07 600ho and the guy I had doing maintenance put a lock washer on the exhaust valves and it came loose and hit a ring. New jug, piston, rings, valve and it's good now. Would've went a lot longer had I not taken it to that guy. It still runs great though now.

2000 XC SP with the 600 liberty motor (first year it was made I think!) 5700 miles and no problems. Replaced reeds and boots once. Jetted for our altitude. It's been relegated to backup sled status the past few years so it doesn't get ridden much, nor does it get much TLC either! But it always starts on 1-2 pulls, runs strong and has never let us down. We discuss doing a top end rebuild every year but the compression doesn't drop so we don't change anything. Lubricated via the dreaded citgo sea and snow, too! :)

2001 xc600. Almost 8000. One belt, hifax, carbides. One shock rebuild. Second pull start. Compression 115 - 120 both sides at 7K miles. Original top end, original clutch.

2006 600HO Fusion 8500 trouble free miles, just had to change the regulator the last ride. Use to grass drag it for the first 2 years I had it. Always used Amsoil

After reading the posts, it sounds like I should be able to have many more miles in
the machine. I will have to inspect the carb boots though to see what shape they are in.
