I believe that we are on 59 straight day's below the freezing mark & heading for a low temp record which was in '78-'79. In the past 59 day's, we may have seen 19 twice. I have not tracked the daily temps here, but I can guarantee there have been more single digit to below zero day's than the 10's, we are tired of this. I like the snow, but I can live without the excessive & consecutive cold, especially when you have to be out in a few hours at a time twice a day just to move the snow. I have not put on 1 single mile as of yet, too busy, too cold. I am looking forward to temps in the teens! "0 is the best sledding temp" [Quote-POLAIRSDAN], yea, if your running a fan cooled &/or carb model, have at it, my EFI runs that way ALL the time, I damn sure don't need to be in sub-zero temps for the sled to run "crisp".-Mezz

0 is not sub 0...0 to 10 is my favorite..10 -20 next..don't like higher than 20(sweat) and don't like below -10(dangerous)

If you are uncomfortable riding at 0, get some better gear...or just stay home but no need to complain about it. Its a lot better than 20 with bad snow.

And my fuel injection sled runs a lot better at 0 than 20.

I don't worry about how cold it is. The friction from the air molecules blasting past keeps me warm.....

Canceled two trips because of the cold. I'm saving my days for March and April . Before you say you just need to dress right, I work out side, it's a lot colder at work. Hello,my name is Paul, and I like to be warm........

I'm not so worried about staying warm, it's the constant double digits below zero every fri**in morning that's really starting to wear on me......amazing when you have to wish for low temps simply on the positive side of zero..........

My buddy and I did our annual ice fish trip to N L MI Jan 23 - 28 and for sure was cold. No problem. But what was worse was the non stop wind. It was relentless and brutal 20 mph winds with gusts 30 plus day and nite. Stuck in the house for 2 days. Got a break 3rd day and next morn for a few hours and that was it. Got the oven cleaned. Gonna have to give my son and friends instuctions on how to spray and scrub their overflows.
