We always stay in Bergland so I am not too familiar with the areas north of the bridge. I know there is gas in Houghton, is there gas in CH? Where else north of the bridge is there gas? The plan is to do a 1 day trip up to CH by way of Gay, hit High Rock Point, lunch in CH, Brockway Dr and then back to Bergland.

that's gonna be one heck of a ride, you should have a blast.
Gas in Lake Linden, Calumet, Gay, Allouez (turn the opposite way as you would to get to the Drift Inn), Phoenix (Vansville and Phoenix Store), Lac La Belle and Copper Harbor. Have a great ride and remember...What happens north of the bridge, stays north of the bridge!

Similar to what we did but we started farther north in Toivola. Just remember 122 from Lake Linden to Gay is closed this year so you'll do some back tracking. Be sure to eat at Zik's in CH. This has become one of my new favorite spots this year. Easy to pull into a big place but don't miss the little spots across the street that a lot of guys just drive by.

I was thinking the same thing when I read your other post about your ride. We had planned to stay and ride a little in the morning then drive home on Monday but with the storm up there, and the predictions for snow all across WI we decided to leave late Sunday and drive home through the night.
have done it a few times deff doable. but much more fun to just pack a extra set of socks and skivvy's and spend the night at the mariner. head back the next day give u way more time to relax and enjoy your ride instead of just pushing to get it done.
