Usually a late Feb job for me do it once for the Spring thaw to avoid ice jams & done. This year with all the snow & drifting I raked yesterday so Monday/Tuesday rain has somewhere to go. Better safe than sorry!

I wish I had your problem. Well not this early, but in Jan-Feb would be nice :)

We paid a younger man to rake our roof last year, best 100.00 we ever spent, since it was terribly cold out.

Yup, we have a place in Conover with a low slope roof. I raked it last weekend. Its easier for us to stay ahead of it than to deal with several layers of snow. With rain coming, Im happy I got that done as well.

Yes did it Tuesday a good 24" of heavy snow. Figured with warm temps and rain coming time to get it off.

I do it after every big storm. The ice dam's are annoying and bad for your new drywall. I saw 2 older garages last year that somebody didnt bother to clear and they caved in.

Hey polarbear I just bought a place in Conover, how much snow is up there?

We had maybe 14 or 15" compacted to about 1 foot when this warm weather hit. Got to mid 30s Sat but stayed above freezing last night with fog. 43 and fog at 8AM. Down to about 8" on the ground.
