Same here,but use a long ratchet strap tie down designed for the E-Track and run it through the suspension. Then set the brake and shut the door....

We just use a tie down on the back of our sleds and set the parking break. We did have three sleds in the trailer coming back from Minocqua with two in from and a third alone in the back. When we got back home the third sled was sideways! Soooo, we now tie the backs down!

In my opinion, you guys not securing your sleds down are running a big risk. Accidents happen quick and the walls of the trailer will not keep your stuff from being launched like a missile. A guy on Snowest just had the wind turn his trailer on its' side while driving and had he not secured the sleds, the damage surely would of been much greater than some bent handlebars and broken plastic.

Yeah i always strap down sleds. Front and back. No matter what type of trailer. However.,there was 1 time where we didnt strap them down in a vnose enclosed. Driver spun out. Jack knifed. rolled trailer on its side in median. Sleds were in there on their sides. Damaged. So now i rachet down rear bumpers. Front bumpers and sometimes run straps across the sleds through the skid. I use some nice sled retractin ratchet straps. They come in 1" and 2" widths. 6' and 10' lengths. Most farm stores have them.

why don't you just wrap the sleds in bubble wrap.
