Early Season Riding!

Just returned from a short Thanksgiving Weekend trip to the Snowy Mountain Range! Friday we rode out of Green Rock with very poor conditions, there were pockets here and there with good snow but for the most part there was lucky to be 15". At the time was just happy to be riding the trails/roads and seeing the views. Until Saturday, we woke up and headed to Albany lodge and rode 15 miles due north until we stumbled upon an area that got POUNDED. There was 6-8" of fresh on top of at least 30". Crazy how close we were to the day before and the difference in snow conditions! Ended up with 100 miles on the new sled and a big smile on my face. Picked up a Nikon D3200 DSLR Camera on Pre-Black Friday sale and got a Pelican case shipped with Amazon Prime 2 days before the trip, just so you guys could drool from these pics! Enjoy :)

Sled looks great too. Love white on a sled.
Nice way to start the season that's for sure.

I'll be looking at these a few dozen times. Great shots!

Thought maybe I wouldn't be tempted to go west this year but now I'm not so sure. Nice trench by the way.

Looks like a great first ride! Did everyone and their sled make it out unscathed? You look much slimmer in the pics, no doubt. Have you been able to keep the weight off and could you tell a difference when riding?

Bro epic pics very jealous for sure. Rode a little here boit 8 days ago nothing pic worthy only 3 inches of soaking wet snow but feels good to pull wfo a couple times on the sno pro.

Oh, I'm fully aware of that. The problem is that El Nino sucks.... and I only have a 600 sled with a 137 inch track.

Probably going to end up riding the top trail section in Ontario, once they have something decent.

Sure have! Been hanging around 155 for almost 2 months now. Biggest difference I noticed was how the altitude didn't affect me whatsoever. Another awesome part was, I didn't have to have the stock springs cranked way up to hold me up, suspension rode like a cadillac!

Power! Thing rips compared to the old pro. Lays over way easier and can tell it's super light. Needs some suspension tweaks, Likes to shoot uphill during a sidehill. Need to adjust a few things to keep the front end down!

Trail system is not like Wisconsin or Michigan. There are trail markers running through the meadows but nothing special.

We took a bunch of short tracks out there a few years ago. Had a great time. The trails are fun, just different. They aren't marked the same and you won't be flying around corners since you don't know where you'll end up if you miss a turn. One thing nice is the lack of traffic compared to say the UP. When we went it was fairly tracked up, but we found tons of spots that were fun to play off trail with short tracks. Probably spots the mountain guys wouldn't even think to look at. I wouldn't let the fact you have a 137" 600 stop you. You won't be the only one without a mountain sled. Remember that 15 years ago a 136 was a long track, and people were riding out there then. You'll get stuck a lot, but it's usually not hard to get a short track unstuck since you can only get yourself in so much trouble on a long track. Normally just roll it over back on top of the snow.

Ontario riding is awesome too. That's where we are aiming this year, especially with the threat of el nino.
