Do what I do, go to your dresser drawer pull the first pair of socks out and put them on.

Really would like to like the smart wool but they seem to fall down after only one or two wears. Don't they fall down on you guys?

I'm surprised that you need special socks, with all the threads in the past about what is the best boot.

Just plain cotton socks in my Rocky boots.

My socks need major brand names on them in order to work correctly. Fox, Klim, Motorfist, RUoutside, Hmk, Snobunje, Scott. nothing under $19 a pair. Best if they match .

I have NO issue's with them falling down at all, its actually one of the reason's I like them as much as I do, they stay put all day for me
maybe it comes down to WHAT models you have by them? I have mid and Heavy weight in there hunting socks mostly!

the key really to WARM feet is keeping the dry
if your feet sweat, they will get cold in about any boot or sock you wear won't help a much

being a long time deer hunter sitting many times 13+ hrs without moving
I spent a ton on boots and socks over the yrs

I personally change socks when needed and carry extra in my pack when hunting
doing this has kept me feet a LOT warmer
on long days on the trail I have also done the same
as some times running in the moguls I will work up a heavy sweat
and then later on get some smoother trails and not be as active
so a quick swap to dry socks can be a BIG boost to cold toes!
just like layering
dressing to what your doing and how active or NOT you are makes a big difference
don't need heavy weight boots or socks if your real active!
will work against you more than help keep you warm!

I find it kind of surprising that so many people have to wear special socks or two pair of socks. I know everybody is different, but generally speaking if you're wearing the right boots, you shouldn't need anything other than regular polyester socks. In my case, I've worn Baffin and Klim boots with regular socks and have never gotten cold in any condition, unless I'm ice fishing. Then I go with wool or heavy polyester and stand on cardboard.
