I'm not trying to tell mojo what to pull or not to pull with his Pilot, but when I purchased my NEO 227 and considered towing with my Sport Trac here is how I figured things: Trailer weight 2,137, 3 sleds about 500 each 1,500, 30 gallons total of fuel 180, 40 pounds of gear per guy 120. Total weight of the trailer loaded 3,937. If you go to the 247 NEO and add a forth sled the trailer increases by 238, sled 500, fuel 60, gear 40 or 838 for everything for a total trailer weight of 4,775. If I was going to pull that kind of weight I'm not sure if I'd rather have something shorter and wide, or longer and narrow. I'd probably opt for the inline so I can always see and have less drag. I'd be nervous when I was pulling it if I hit some bad weather, but could it be done, sure.

Those NEO models include the "V" so those are 22 or 24' long total.

can you put 4 sled in your neo 22 trailer? and how is fit and finish. did you upgrade your side walls?

the way it has been we might trailer 5-8 times a year.

like i said i pulled my friends steel 18 box total was 21 foot with 10" tires trailered and we pull 3 sled just fine. sure we didn't go 65-70.

Like was mentioned earlier. I would scale your trailer as you are pushing the limits. My buddy has a 27ft Stealth inline that he scaled before our trip West this year and the actual weight exceeded what was stated by the manufacturer.

I figure it be about 4750 with the 24 and 4500 with the 22foot trailer. the only other option is to keep my old trailblazer with 5.3v8 for this.i don't know if that be any better??

It has a higher tow rating as well as a heavier duty suspension vs your Pilot. I passed a Pilot today, there is no way in **** I would pull any 4 hauler with that in wintertime. I don't care what it's rated for.

the other advantage of the trailblazer here will be its HEAVIER, than the pilot, and weight is your friend towing, also in stopping and even on snow, and winds, will less hectic I think in cross winds while driving

MPG"S, well ??? your at a disadvantage there I am sure due to again the weight and more HP/torque that allows it to tow better!
Honestly here,
and not bashing your options
if you have 4 guys going, I'd try and get one of them to tow with a bigger truck, and have a safer run, 4 door trucks are pretty common these days, got to be about 25 of them as to a basic 2 door truck in my area if not higher !!

a simple snow storm(were snowmobilers) can be a bigger issue in a smaller vehicle towing such a big trailer, and a simple slip off the edge of the road could make a trip into a rescue over a vacation!

I base this off 30 yrs of towing in winter time, but I also live in an area with a ton of up and down steeper hills,
twisty POORLY plowed roads, and having to pull up on up hill grades with unplowed roads or just lots of snow

I think you will struggle BAD, in conditions like this in my area
I know guys with trailblazers, and jeep Cherokee's that struggle with 4 place open deck trailers!!, and even some with 2 place clam shell's here!

but your call!

no I know your not bashing me. I'm just looking for opinions on this.really like to get a enclose trailer. like inline more then the wide one. and neo 22 would be nice if I could get 4 sleds in it but I think 24 I can do it forward and backwards. driven plenty of time when the roads where bad just take your time. been active snowmobile since a kid back around 1977. pulled 3 sleds many time with my Isuzu pick up truck that was a 4 banger. but I was 2o years younger to with no fear in me

but I really like to know how people like there neo trailers??

I know this won't help you but I know of an intersection in Houghton as well as one in Calumet that if it's icy/snowy, you won't get through that intersection without backing up. That's pulling an enclosed (what looked like a) 4 place with a Blazer.

I thought my NEO was great. I bought it unfinished and finished it off my self. There is a long thread here about that. I never got 4 sleds in it, but others said they could so maybe someone else will jump in on how.

I know there is a lot of info here about the NEO and some of the things you're considering about the trailer itself, not necessarily the tow vehicle. I did a quick search on "NEO Trailer" in the search box on the top right and here are a few of the results. As you can see, like I thought, there has been a lot of conversation about this before. I also included a link to a thread I started about towing with my Trailblazer, although I had the I6 so that made a difference in capacity.

Good luck

If you already have the trailblazer I'd keep it around for towing. If you don't put many miles on it it won't lose much value at this point. Drive it when you need to tow or when the roads are nasty. Keep your newer Pilot from getting pelted with salt all the time that way.

The t-blazer is heavier, has a frame, has much more torque and a higher towing limit.

sell it and get a beater suburban. I know this sounds crude to a "pilot" owner but wheelbase and weight of tow vehicle will let you be in control of the trailer vs. the trailer owning you and your yuppiemobiles.
Get a clue. You are getting the same answers on the other site you posted on. Listen to folks when they care enough to keep answering your repeated inquiries.
Better yet get an extended cab pick up truck. Your passengers won't ever have to thank you for the predicament you won't put them in....Pilot this!...Happy Trails.

He's getting the same opinions on the other site and not listening so I don't even know why he's asking. I have seen it done, but I would not pull a 4 place any distance in winter with a Trailblazer either.

Been through this myself towing with a less than needed vehicle.....lesson learned.
Probly trying to get the whole family, with sleds, to the northwoods on a budget....not worth a bad accident in my OP.
