Well it looks like the article reads this morning was wrong about the Apex which is good I guess but really disappointed there is nothing new but a kids sled. Not a fan of the Arctic deal. Think Yamaha could do better if they really tried.

Plus like I said about the Tao Tao, 2995.00 and comes with heated grips, electric start with auto choke. Bad thing is their shocks are junk but if they get those fixed I think they'll be ok. Ridden a couple and are more than you would expect for a 2995.00 snowmobile.

The article I read said 2018 would be the last year for the Apex. Yamaha could probably put a man on the moon if they wanted to. They don't want to build a new snowmobile. They don't care about market share or weight or EPS or seat height or ski quality or much of anything snowmobile related. They are happy right where they are at.

Seems like the Yamaha/Cat partnership has been good for both sides (despite what some of the Doo guys will tell you). Hopefully Cat's new owner wants to keep working with Yamaha. It seems clear Yamaha is done with building sleds otherwise.

I've been waiting for an Apex replacement for several model years now and nothing. I have given up on it. I don't like the Yamicats. Heading over to DOO!

Never thought I'd say that...

What are you going to do with the 2 low mile cherry Apex XTX? Nothing new out there for me either.:(

Ride them until I'm ready to trade in. That could be several years. I'm very happy with them as is...for now. Maybe shock upgrades to the axis shocks. Not ready to upgrade yet unless there was something to pull me in. It's becoming more clear to me every year that Yamaha is done making their own sleds. They are now motor suppliers. My 2 up will be the first to go. Going to get the Doo 2 up.

Yeah same here my 2012 xtx is tricked out the way I like it with riser, high windshield and mirrors just rebuilt shocks. The 2018 Apex 146 does have a lot of features it should have had the since the release of the SS with a much improved rear shock and the front shocks thru a large single reservoir seems pretty cool too although snowtrackers has my front end already performing very well. Sounds like the large reservoir acts like a hydrolic sway bar to keep the sled flat in high speed turns. All good improvements and damperss as well but I would need to test ride to feel handeling improvements. Yes sure seems like Yamaha is done building sleds of their own and Textron has them by the balls and could go all 2s to compete with doo and poo. Doo has nothing for me with their 4s lineup so I'll be riding my xtx for a long time too so a good thing Yamaha builds tanks.

Yep...gonna keep my xtx for couple more years....unlike some of you...I'm not against the yamacats...in fact (as I've mentioned before)...if they'd throw some of the yamaha features on them...I'd be happy as heck...eps, ycct, etc.
Those you hating on the sidewinder...haven't ridden one...all its missing is eps, and better skis...and honestly it would be a very competent apex replacement.....the viper on the other hand could be so much more.....the ride and handling are very good on it...again...the skis suck...but it's main problem is lack of top end...if they could squeeze 10 mph more out of them...I think some people that are on the fence would consider them.

So much sour talk about the cat-yamaha deal....I honestly don't get it...the cat chassis sleds easily out ride and handle the old delta box chassis yamis...don't get me wrong...i love my apex...but it takes alot more time and money to get an apex dialed in to my perference....what's even dumber is some of the cat guys that hate the Yami engines.

I ve read some really stupid stuff today....and I feel dumber for it....experts talking about the end of yamaha, and the end of cat....soooo stupid...smh....it will only hurt our sport of any of the 4 hang it up.

Ski doo has nothing for me....but if that's what you want and what you like to ride...go for it....it's your money.
If being a yamaha riders means I will be riding yamacats in the future...so be it...I guess that's what I'll ride
I have owned both cat and Yamaha (and doo)...over the last 12 years....they ALL have their pluses and minuses...I have determined that yellow makes my butt look big....so I won't being wearing that color...but it looks good on you momoney... ;) lol

You could put in your application for president of Yami-Cat with speech's like that. They'd be impressed.
