Of course I watch him QB the Pats every Sunday.
fixed it for you..
Of course I watch him QB the Pats every Sunday.
From reading multiple sources it sounds like the Bears did reach really far for Trub. I haven't seen any reputable sourced that said any other teams we're trading up to get him and could have easily just stayed at their spot and.got him. I don't mind the pick at all, it's the possibly unnecessary trade.
It's always funny when people compare players and say they will never be a Rodgers or Brady....well there 2 of the best ever. Kind of a tough comparison.
The only thing I can say bad about the Pack is lack of SB with 2 HOF back to back QB's. The Pack need to go all in the next couple of years before Rodgers calls it a career.
at least pace got his picks back last night. obviously something told pace whether it was inside info or not, that trubisky could be taken #2. if it was as simple as no way that's possible like most donkeys who really have no clue write about, then clearly pace wouldn't have done it. I love all the 'experts' mock drafts.....no one was close lol, but they are the experts. not the real life GM's....like pace...the writers know more...haha
im sure pace has lots of connections along with other bears personnel that knew it was possible someone jumping the bears to get him, maybe it wouldn't have happened but no one knows and pace wasn't risking it. so I don't fault him for the move.
here is article saying 2 teams tried jumping....so if its your guy then go get him!!!

Every site or show I've seen gave the bears a D.
You won't find anyone who says they didn't over reach on Trubisky.
Bears didn't do much to address their bad defense.
The GM not even running by - advising head coach on their future signal caller says a lot about how valuable they feel their head coach is. When the GM isn't advising the coach on drafts picks, especially when he trades up to # 2 and the reaches on a QB with 17 career starts that coach's days r numbered. What u think Fox would want to do win today, or in 2020? Trubisky not helping win today.

Seems that Pace has an unhappy locker room of Players and Agents. Glennon is getting paid well for 1 year or less of service but just maybe he would not signed with Pace if it was really just 1 year deal and signed for less $ with another club that would have given him a better chance to play. IDK how all this will work out on the field but not a happy team right now.
was reading something yesterday where the Bears brass had a draft day party and asked Glennon to appear to intermingle with the selected invitee's then they move up and draft his replacement. LOL.
nothing personal Mike business is business.

switching gears to the Packers draft I only know a little of these guys but every where I read they gave TT an A and one site gave him an A+.
King will be starting immediately.
If glennon is a pro's pro it shouldn't matter who they drafted. He is starting and if he plays well everything will work out for him either way. The best problem the bears could have is glennon makes it hard to move on from him. He played on a horrible team and oline the last games he started so who knows how he will do...
I thought for sure packers were gona take watt. 3 RBs..interesting strategy...guess hopin one of them works out.
Wonder how George Halas would have handled this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IDK but Bears management does not not seem to be working together with head coach, scouts and other team departments. I had a different impression of Pace as a manager... Yes he is the GM BUT he didn't improve his trust relationships with Fox, players or other agents the way he handled the Trubisky pick. Pace likes FAs but he will pay dearly for future FAs can't trust his intentions at all. None of us know how any of this will work out until the season starts but up to now players wanted to play for coach Fox....doesn't seem to matter what Fox thinks it's a Pace team. Football is a team sport and players need to think that way not individual stats as it is the team W that counts. I just don't know how the players will react on the field when the Bears fall behind? Pace has many 1 year FA contracts & players may just say F it I want out of here next year this signing was a big mistake. If you think Pace does not have a player/management trust issue think again Pace has a problem that needs to be fixed ASAP..
Pace says he and Fox are joined at the hip after the fact that Fox was surprised Trubisky was picked #2....lol. Sounds to me like Pace has a PR problem with what was reported and may have happened. I have no problem with the Trubisky pick if Pace wanted him he got him regardless of the price but seems like a reach to me. I sure hope Trubisky is as good as Pace rated him in the draft. In comparos of todays QBs it was said Bridgewater was better than all of them this crew just not ready to play at the NFL level this year. Pace has many 1 year FA contracts and I hope those players are worth resigning play well want to be back with the Bears. If not the Bears won't be much better this year or next year. I'm hoping for the best but the schedule is tuff and if the Bears lose 6 right away they might implode & I'm not sure how Pace will act if that happens.Did you know pace, fox, ragone and loggains met with trubisky for dinner back In march and held a private workout with him. No one knew this. pace told trubisky to keep it secret. trubisky graded the top qb on all above mentioned QB list. they unanimously liked him. it was not pace working alone....just sayin....I think you have your stories mixed with facts....

Pace: 'john(fox) and I are connected at the hip'...'we talked about mitch a long time'
A totally different era, Abe. Nobody would second guess a decision by Halas or Lombardi whether it be media or staff, they'd be on the first train out of town with the coach's boot in their rear.
