People have been breaking rails for years. Some of the posts are people hitting a stump or rock directly. I don't think its as big of a problem, just becomes a target since its new.

Well last spring in April TKI CNC already noticed a few demo sleds cracked and they developed a brace, so thinking there is an issue.

My buddy has an Alpha, we'll check it this weekend. I think if one is a big jumper, or you land on a rock or stump, one might feel the need to be concerned.

The alpha is a purpose built deep powder snowmobile. It is not a jumping machine nor a tight tree banger. Unfortunately some will test its limits and get an unfortunate result. From what i hear though its a sweeet ride. If you notice Caleb Kesterke is THE best backcountry snowmobiler on a Cat, and he doesnt ride an alpha.
