Its all good, I figured that most of us on here understand how engines function and what makes them go boom.

One other thing to keep in mind is degration of fuel during winter storage is much slower than during the warmer/humid months of the year, thus less issues with equipment issues that are stored during winter months.

One sled I used Seafoam in over summer. The next winter it wouldnt run worth a darn. The rubber fuel line in the tank basically dissolved. I dont recall the miles on it at the time, maybe 4-5k. Had maybe 5 fillups in its life with E-10 fuel. Otherwise was strictly non ethanol fuel.

Hey Im not saying it was the seafoam, but not sure what else it could have been.....

If you want to store it with good stable fuel, go buy some AVGas. Its cheap right now. Hartford WI airport, or any airport.
And before you tell me thats no good, my bud has been using it in his high compression turbo 2 stroke for 3 years. Its GREAT fuel.

srt20, I too have heard of people using AV gas for storage, a good friend of mine blends it in the fuel of his hot rods during off season storage

Yeah he uses anywhere from 30%-50% per tank. 13:1 head and runs up alot of boost. I will say this, it will detonate at 15psi...lol

Another good fuel option is Mogas. At airports as well.

edit; looks like all the fuel are cheapest at Burlington airport. I know theres a bunch of people on here from that area.

Just a quick question - I used to live in Hartford and now in Ixonia. Do you have to schedule an appointment to fill up at the airport or how does it work? TIA!

You can drive right out onto the runway area and fill up your own stuff. My bud has always done it when the airport is closed. Pay at the pump.

I believe at others you might have to call and tell them you need fuel because they are gated.

My sled has a wire to pull if running ethanol gas. I never have the wire plugged in so I can buy whatever gas is available and not worry. I'd rather use non-oxy but if the price is stupid high I use oxy in my sled. My collector car always gets non-oxy premium and all my small engines in gas powered tools.

Fortunitally Quik Trip in Wi and MN all have non-oxy premium.
