Forecast?

What are you guys using now for forecasts? I haven't been able to find any other good/optimistic weather forecasts for winter. What sites are you guys using, other than the big ones (weather.com)

Any other small meteorologists that aren't just on facebook?

Seems like forecasts change by the hour, keep watching my go to site and it like many is all over the place. I had seen something about a potential storm this week but now seeing nothing, supposed to be heading up week of 22nd to eastern side, Grand Marais, hoping for some snow this week and grooming to resume, been a good go so far but was hoping for one more. This time last year we were in a polar vortex if my mind serves me right, talking 62 here today

I use accuweather and the google weather app as well as NOAA. They are all over the place this past week and now it's going be warm until Saturday. But, it looks like a lot of snow chances. Don't let Mother Nature fool you, our winter doesn't end until April 1st and I can remember a few years ago we had 18" on April Fools Day.

Like others have said, forecasts seem to be all over the place now so you just pick the one that you want to see happen. There is no replacement for John's forecasts.

For current conditions, I've found this to be the most accurate weather report out there - Scott's video feed :)

For the last month or so I have been watching MaxVelocity on FB. The guy seems very knowledgeable and on point. He's on everyday and sometimes twice. He does extend out to a week but always with some caution. He has some good explanations as well.

Here too but his style will never be duplicated or replaced, your go to are pretty much same as mine and I will admit I check accu multiple times a day and crazy how much it will change, hard to plan off of it, going to be 60's here 2 days this week, winters are brutal on my business, started off early and good but fizzled just as fast. With this warmth we have had more people through shop in last week than last 2 months, as far as down here goes there is no point anymore so welcoming this early taste of spring as far as business goes. But for the Northwoods this is a serious and unfortunate set back and mother nature still has some work to do for up there and hoping she will pull through for us riders, establishments and the industry as a whole! so far been a good run!

I watch him too.

Agree he is very knowledgeable. The only thing that drives me nuts about him (if you subscribe to his channel) is the headlines to lure you in to check out the next forecast. "HUGE change coming" blah blah blah.

Weather with Travis is lately my go to on Youtube. He does do a full United States overview vs just the midwest, but he does go into trends and further explanations which I like. Then on top of that use the College of Dupage numerical models. Pair those two together with facebook reports from clubs and you can find the good places to ride easily.

Guess I'm lucky, I don't subscribe to that nor any others.
