    This is just a suggestion

Ads have gotten so bad using a mobile site in the last day, they’re taking over the entirety of my screen and no option to close it out, not letting me look at or see anything. I tried DDG and it was the same. I switched to a ”desktop” site on my phone and it shrunk The size of the ads enough...

    Been a rough month

For whatever reason this thread popped up in a search. Thought I’d give an update. We have ridden at least one day every weekend since December 13 and knock on wood, no sled breakdowns on any of the sleds I own or maintain! Lot of day trips or short overnight trips so far this year so not a ton...

    Trail 15 - Gem

I rode it a handful of times in between 2011-2014, just a phenomenal trail with zero traffic! Haven’t gotten back to it since unfortunately. Where we tend to base out of, running that trail is just too many miles in a day to run it (for the other half). Used to stop at the rusty sawblade in...

    UP trail 160

Big ride! Yeah, not sure if their equipment is down but seems like GRTA commonly skips that run on their day to day runs, just a long stretch for them. Great ride when it’s in good shape. As for Sayners trails, that seems to be a common theme this year. Nothing but complaints on Facebook and...

    UP trail 160

The president of the club, also the guy in charge of the GRTA FB page, I believe his wife has a bunch of health problems and hasn’t been posting as much this year because he doesn’t have the time (Jan 17 post). Steve Hamilton used to be in charge and they were extremely active on social media...

    UP trail 160

Been awhile since I’ve ridden it, but it is very tight twisty for a portion of it and hard to maintain as it’s a long run for the groomer. I know in years past it’s often rough, and usually thin by the lake, but that’s not to say it’s not currently in great shape at the moment. Just giving past...

    Half time show

Rewarding it was! Extra $3000 back this year thanks to the big bad orange man’s overtime tax refund!

    This Weekend's DNR Patrols

Put 90 miles on and covered most of Langlade county yesterday. Didn’t see any DNR (didn’t expect to though in those areas)

    How hard of a hit....?

Long range GFS model thru the 25th. Most all the activity is from the 20-25. Shall see! The ice on Superior broke up on Friday as well, so that should keep LES coming as well.

    How hard of a hit....?

Late next week there’s 1 or 2 very promising systems popping up on forecast models. Once we get thru this weekend, as long as that fresh comes I think we’ll be ok in the Northwoods!

    This Weekend's DNR Patrols

Back in 2011 or 2012, me and a buddy got nabbed south of Mass/Greenland in the exact same “trap” you’re talking about. Kicker is, the stop sign was missing! We saw the stop ahead, got to the backwoods driveway and realized this must be where we were supposed to stop but there was no sign, got to...

    This Weekend's DNR Patrols

I hear ya, I’m in the same boat. Just shake my head at so many guys that spend more time in the bar than on the sled. I’m all for the increased enforcement for safety reasons. No issues with guys who have a beer or two with lunch or dinner on sled, but drinking a 6 pack and hopping on a sled is...
