That would be the Skidoo tunnel mounted scratchers. The end pieces, are hardened metal, not carbide. The tips do not last super long, but can be flipped to use the other.
We needed our scratchers Saturday morning, but after some traffic, they were no longer needed by mid afternoon, or Sunday for that matter. I did however set all of our sleds torsion springs to 1 to get them to sit lower and get the flap lower to the ground and keep the snow underneath.
Way less traffic. Definitely not UP type scenery, but the clubs that way groom as often as Vilas, but without the traffic. Yes, they often are a bit behind Vilas (and obviously the UP) when it comes to snow. There is not much in the way of lodging over there, so that’s why you don’t run into...
Ran along hwy 8 on all freshly groomed this morning to Monico and back burning the last bit of gas out of the beater Indy! Then, once the little man and woman woke up, we did a fantastic 50 mile loop east of Crandon. Little man did fantastic this weekend and keeps looking more comfortable every...
Yesterday 20 mile morning solo ride, 70 mile ride with the fam, and 20 mile night ride with the woman for dinner. All in all trails held up just fine! Yes, it refroze and the corners are very icy, anything that was in the sun and was getting slushy froze as well. Be careful and enjoy the last...
Here is what we rode. Everything was 10/10. Some burn thru by Johnnie’s when we went past around 11ish so I imagine it’s worse now. Got off the sleds around 230. Stay away from road riding and everything should remain mint. Curious how crunchy things will be in the morning as the temps will drop...
Looked thin south of Lakewood, but the grade looked great starting in Lakewood to drop and shoot north! We dropped in Wabeno Sunday and had a fantastic ride.
115 miles of Forest/florence greatness! (Was in Marinette for a couple miles too) dropped in wabeno, headed east, then north to Fence. Then headed west an stopped at Roadhouse 139 for lunch. Florence trail 4 was a real treat. Ran the Cavour trail just to get off the grade, and ran LMT 7 down...
From what I’ve read from the catalyst guys, they’re truly 50/50 on whether they like it on a 2 stroke sled or not. There’s been a number of guys to trade their ext's in because they didn’t like how squirly it got in whooped out sections because the front end is so light and couldn’t react as...
No real changes for Poo. To highlight what they did, they basically gave more options to different models to allow people to not have to buy a certain model to get a certain option.
