Thank you all for the input. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something on the maps. Yep Indy, I'll just plan to take the trail in and out. I don't want to cause any issues or create another black eye for the sport. I'm inherently a rule follower anyways!

I'm assuming the answer to this question is no, but are you able to enter Grand Marais from the east anywhere? Or is the only entrance point coming from the west on trail 8 and then going through that little park? Thanks in advance!

Excellent job, echoing everyone else's comments. When following these from my perspective, I never look or expect a short turnaround. I consider it a marathon, not a sprint! The results show everything.

I had to have something similar done to a walnut tree that had a deck built around it. It was just too close to the house for comfort for me. With the derecho of Aug2020, a big limb came down and about took out some of the house. That was the final nail in the coffin for me. Only difference...
