    What Friends are For....

A guy is walking down the street when he falls into a hole, the walls are too steep and he can't get out. A doctor passes by and the guy shouts up, "Hey Doc! Can you help me out?" The doctor writes a prescription, throws it down in the hole, and moves on. Then a priest comes along and the guy...

    Biggest year in modern snowmobiling

I recall looking at the first Rev in the showroom..... First off, there's no hood. How do you get to the engine, side panels? And the Beaver Tail thingy, what's going on with that? And as a whole, ergonomics were different when we sat on it. Very different and I believe it was the biggest...

    Biggest year in modern snowmobiling

I'd have to go with REV, Rider Forward, that was a game changer. Honorable Mention to Circa 1970 with 100 different brands and really the beginning of snowmobiling by the masses. Everybody was DOOing It! (SnoGoer) Are you wondering which snowmobile manufacturers were the most well known in the...

    Warm up this week?

The trails in our neck of the woods haven't opened yet so no great loss here. As in other years I expect the most snows to fall in April and early May. (sarcasm alert)

Couldn't say, we didn't go that far west but Prentice was very good so I would assume the same for Kennan.

    Comparing BRP Helmets

I had a similar experience last weekend. Cruising along through the twisties and happened to notice some motion on my left. Looked up to see a Bald Eagle pacing me at about 35 to 40mph. We stayed together for about a half a mile before the trail changed direction and he was left behind. I've...

Happy Birthday, Kip and thank you for supporting snowmobiling and the other motorsports.

    Ratchet straps

Make sure they're threaded properly. I bought some awhile ago, same problem. Took a closer look and they were threaded wrong from the supplier. China? Probably so, but they make damn fine balloons!

    Parking for a Cause

Outstanding. I wish the media covered stories like this rather than only the death and destruction of snowmobiling. Keeper Movin, Kip!

Off trail riding on the local news

It's pretty basic, if you're leaving tracks on private land where no one has gone before and you don't have permission to be there...

    Comparing BRP Helmets

Just for grins and giggles, I looked up the Mission Helmet on Dennis Kirk and couldn't find a one. Went to the CKX website and the prices listed range from 489 to 699. Add another 5% for sales tax. Don't get me wrong, these are nice helmets but they should be!

    Comparing BRP Helmets

On a recent trip I was able to compare a pair of helmets. One, the new BRP Exome and their Modular 3 side by side. I alternated helmets for most of a day and the following is what I found. Helmets have come a long way since the days of the old Two Striper. Dental Care has improved also, but I...

I'm not familiar with Trap & Fish and Katden4 is current on the others. Phillips may be the most Snowmobile Friendly town I've been to. I forgot to mention above, I paid $3.47 for unleaded at the local stations.

Epic GPS fail? Or just plain stupidity…

I think in the past, the truckers were usually the better drivers out there but I don't think that's the case any longer. Like everywhere else, new hires are hard to come by and by the looks of things they'll take anybody they can get.

Pictures and Conditions from Price County

Just back from a couple of days in Price County. Went up on Friday morning with some of the worst road conditions in a long time. Too many in the ditch to count, some went straight in, some were upside down, and I saw one trailer that was torn in half. Not sure how that happened. Hope they all...
