Does anyone know the most ideal location to wire an electric shield into? Tia

I was wondering what the conditions were that caused the last major LES event. The event that I'm referring to was on 1-1-12. I believe it started that night. Wasn't it just LES snow and not system snow? Why was there so much and the rest of the LES events are much less? Thanks in advance!

What helmet do you guys have. I bought the prescription goggles for the helmet, just not the helmet. I was thinking of the Klim but I don't want to spend $500 and a new balaclava. What are some good options. I'm thinking $200 would be good and the Klim balaclava.
