    2022 sucks!

Nice. Be interested to hear how she likes it compared to the 4 stroke 900. You are an all out doo guy now, huh?

    Wisconsin...Are You Proud of This

We live near a golf course and I walk on the edge of it and through the woods in the off season. The amount of beer cans in the woods just off the course is unreal. Think the excess drinking is everywhere. Not sure why golfers cant carry their cans out.

    Boulder, Sayner, MW 3/2 ride

Crossing my fingers and toes that the snow holds up somewhere. Can't get away until the 15th.

What makes us ride where we do?

For the most part I don't find it's all that hard to avoid the highest traffic trails, as long as you don't have to ride on a Saturday. Most people ride near the areas with the most amenities or in a bee line between two areas like that. Avoid those. For all the doom and gloom about sled sales...

What amount of miles on a sled scare you?

That's interesting about bearings. I happened to replace my skid bearings when I had the skid out to get the shocks rebuilt. I have a cat right now. Snowtech had a blurb about ski doo using quality bearings so I ordered those instead and they were the exact same bearings in my cat (nsk 6006 and...

What amount of miles on a sled scare you?

When my fusion started breaking skid parts I knew it was time to let it go. About 11k on it by then. That's a nice vmax. Would love to find one for my kids like that. I know yamaha has gotten behind but is that really a 2020? haha

What amount of miles on a sled scare you?

Probably a different story if you are riding the hell out of them like that. Both age and miles takes resale off. Your example of a 17 with 9k on it - yeah you're going to lose your azz on that if you are putting 2500-3000 on a year bought new. Probably had a 3 or 4 year warranty on it -...

    Who Rode The Catalyst?

Was pretty clear that part of the old cat's downfall was overloading dealers with sleds. That and spending too much money on a HQ building nowhere near the factory, underinvesting in dirt products, the list goes on. For the demos at Eagle River - sounds like a success because they "sold out"...

What amount of miles on a sled scare you?

All depends on maintenance and if you can get a feel for that from the actual owner. You can take the most expensive one from your preferred brand and drive it in shitty conditions, move it around on an open trailer, and/or not warm it up properly, and you'll have issues before too long.

    2024 Ski - Doo

Agree with that 100%. Assuming supply gets back to normal, it shouldn't be hard for the manufacturers to provide options for tracks, and it's a decent amount of time and money to switch a track after the purchase. I know some dealers will work with you on changing one but not all.

Retail Price Of Skidoo Advent Helmet?

I'm with you on that. Hassle whenever you want to stop and chat for a minute. Nothing like fog free though. I may order a Mission - wonder if they ever have end of season sales?

    2024 Ski - Doo

I think they need all those options (ipads screens, boosts, etc.) for people who want it and are willing to pay for it. Agree - keep them as options.

    2024 Ski - Doo

You are sounding more and more like an old man every day. Joking. I'm 100% with you on wanting something in between the 600 and 800/850. I guess the answer is to get the bigger engine and don't hold down the throttle.

    2024 Ski - Doo

I'm not a skidoo guy, but didn't they use to allow for more customization? I was looking at the trail sleds, and it's all ripsaw or the ripsaw with preinstalled studs.

Enclosed trailer purchase.. looking for help

Looking at these pics, we need to do some work on our trailer to get stuff off the ground. Always too much moving stuff around when loading and unloading.

    How’s this for you guys

That's great she wants to get back on the sled. Those conditions were probably unusually slippery. Tek vest or something similar makes a lot of sense.

    tekvest

I have the tek vest crossover. I'm taller and it fits me better. I don't really notice it while riding. It's supposedly more breathable and less insulating than the others, which isn't really a pro or con for me snowmobiling, but that might be nice if you are looking to use it in warm seasons...

    How’s this for you guys

Glad to hear she is ok. That must have been scary for both of you. I've had one collision and it definitely stuck with me for a few years. I don't think studs would have helped in my situation but I've considered them after that, perhaps at least the prestudded tracks.

    How’s this for you guys

That's awesome! I've never ridden there.
